Some topics of discussion will include: the foundation of our family structure, the relationship we have with one another, the mindset we operate from, and breakdown the destruction of the black family due to mass incarceration of African American men. Saturday evening, get ready to Party Like it’s 1999 at The Kingdom Panel Afterparty: Between Wine Is Words Red Carpet Charity Event being held at the Boardwalk Event Center. Enjoy a night of Poetry, Artist Performances, & Live music by WJBE Jammin’ 99.7FM’s own Sir Marlon Brooks on the 1s &2’s. Special performances by Jace “The Jazz Diva” Harnage, Koxville’s own Black Atticus and WJBE Jammin’ 99.7FM’s Uganda TheGoddess.
Signature wine and light appetizers will be served.
A percentage of the proceeds will benefit the Put A Sock On It non-profit organization founded by Uganda TheGoddess. The foundation provides socks, clothes and toiletries to homeless individuals across the U.S. A percentage of the proceeds from this event will be donated to displaced individuals in the Knoxville, TN area.
