The 4th Annual DangerMan Hero Awards will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at the California African American Museum.
This year’s ceremony will honor and pay special tribute to the Honorable Elijah Cummings, awarding him the Special Posthumous Award for his extraordinary works through civil rights advocacy and his remarkable tenure with the United States House of Representatives for Maryland’s 7th congressional district from 1996 up to his passing in 2019.
The DangerMan hero awards was created in 2016 by “real life urban superhero” Roger Tinsley, and CEO/President of the DangerMan Education Foundation, Inc. The awards spotlights everyday men, women and children who make positive contributions within their community. Spreading love and light and fighting to put an end to senseless violence is part of the movement.
“DangerMan’s mission is to promote a high quality of life for urban youth by delivering services of value to the community built upon the following three pillars: Protect. Promote. Provide.” –Dangerman.com
