With Women’s History Month closing out in one more day, we at Fashion Life & Tea want to spotlight phenomenal women who are making impressive strides in their career and community, continuing to carry the torch that women before them ignited.
Today, we are shining the light on Lia S. Jones, LCPC, a National Board-Certified School Counselor, Clinical Supervisor at CORE Empowerment Holistic Mental Health Clinic, and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Incorporated. Not only is Ms. Jones professional resume impressive, her community efforts over the past 7 years are noteworthy. From organizing clothing and food drives, career days, mentoring at risk youth through community based extra-curricular activities and being active within her chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Incorporated, Ms. Jones models the importance being an agent of service.
As Ms. Jones continues to grow her practice in mental health, she assures to advocate for self-love and positivity. She operates her practice on core values: compassion, collaboration, confidentiality, respect, sensitivity to difference and teaches clients self-care methods aimed at nourishing their mental health. One of her favorite care quotes: “you can’t pour from an empty cup” is one she uses when coaching clients on ways to maintain balance.
